Barry McNeese began his professional career as a bassist while continuing his university studies in his hometown of Lexington located in the state of Kentucky in the USA.

He plays with various groups of rock, country, soul, promotes a bluegrass group and is then engaged in the group "Second Hand Rose" with which he will travel the United States and Canada for three years. They notably accompany the legendary Ian Tyson, Canadian singer-songwriter.

At the same time, he entered the world of stage and studio musicians in Nashville. The end of this group encouraged him to leave for Brussels where he still lives.

He then collaborated with many artists including Salvatore Adamo, Alain Bashung, Dani Klein, Philippe Lafontaine, Lais, Marc Lelangue, Jo Lemaire, Machiavelli, The Machines, Mamemo, Ludo Mariman, Maurane, Christian Merveille, Bart Peeters, The Samantha Brothers, Sttellla ...

He also works in recording studios and it is he who can be heard in “Cœur de Loup”, “Torrimolinos”, “Je passe pour une caravan”…
